The Adventures of Barry Ween, Boy Genius 2.0
Reviewed by Randy Jackson

Synopsis: This reprints The Adventures of Barry Ween, Boy Genius 2.0 #1-3.

In the first tale, E.T. Go Home, Barry has to deal with the ramifications of an alien embezzler crash landing in the woods behind his home—as well as said alien’s play for his female friend Sara, and the angry aliens pursuing him. In How the West Was Weened Jeremy is accidentally transported back in time to the Old West, and Barry has to go rescue him. In Target: Ween Barry is discovered by a secret government agency that tracks technology. They attempt to kidnap him but get Jeremy instead, and Barry has to go rescue him.

Good Stuff: In my opinion, this is the best of the series, and we get to see one of the times that Barry becomes truly likable, as he systematically tracks down Jeremy and saves him from the government, as well as crippling the entire installation. Also, everything is just plain funny, from the Wild West villains with the weird made up proverbs to the accidental re-imaging of the alien into a look-a-like for Ricky Schroeder.

Not so Good Stuff: I got nothin’.

I give this book 10/10.

This is not a children's comic. There's a great deal of profanity.
